Program
Residential Program
Recovery from eating disorders, substance abuse, and behavioral problems
are not usually successful without long-term, intense, multi-disciplined
therapy. For this reason, we have designed our residential program to
span from thirty-days up to six-months or a year. Upon completion of residential
therapy, we offer continuing outpatient therapy and support. After graduation,
clients are invited to booster sessions as needed, and to enjoy family
wilderness retreats at our beautiful Yellow Jacket Ranch in Idaho.
Intense Therapy
With the help of masters and doctoral level licensed therapists, we offer
an intense, individualized program which has a lasting impact on our clients.
The clients have individual and group therapy sessions as well as support
group meetings five days a week with time on the weekend allowing for
family visits, family therapy, and appropriate outings.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
This is the core of the CBC program and is used daily. We then integrate
equine assisted psychotherapy whereby the client, accompanied by a licensed
therapist, interacts with the horse and horse professional which sets
the stage for the continuing therapy process throughout the day, and provides
"hands-on" applications of behavioral therapy. The patients
also assist in all areas of daily equine care.
Family Involvement & Therapy
At CBC, we know that family involvement increases the recovery success
rate, and we are committed to helping the family as a unit. We suggest
that the family attend therapy sessions at least once a week.
Spiritual Renewal
We believe that a spiritual awakening can be the single most powerful
catalyst for change. Self help, twelve step oriented guidance and materials
are assigned to each client to work on during their stay. Every day at
CBC begins with one hour of non-denominational meditation, devotion, and
community spiritual direction.
Medical Care
While group and individual therapy provides the traditional form of treatment,
medical doctors and support personnel provide primary care, psychiatric,
physical medicine and laboratory work as needed.
